One of the most crucial pieces of radicalization is reading. That being so, we have compiled a list of suggested readings as we all go on the journey of educating ourselves for the promise of our liberation.
As you go along our list and read we would like to remind you that you do not have to continue texts that don't define words/concepts you do not understand or authors that do not write in a way that is interesting to you! This is not a reflection of you as a reader but a reflection of the accessibility of the writing itself. We hope that the authors will work on this as they align themselves with concrete liberation movements.
We also urge you to take your time reading these texts as some of them are very dense. Reading is about understanding and not necessarily making it through an entire text. If you can only make it through 3 chapters and you make progress as a revolutionary, then you have read successfully.
We hope to be able to offer virtual reading and studying groups to exchange sentiments and perspective on ideology and otherwise dense theory. This will ring particularly important as a lot of the texts are older and, while the theory itself is important, they can limited in their ability to apply to our everyday lives in a meaningful and beneficial way.
This ever-changing list is neither all-encompassing in regards to changing ideology or evolving as a revolutionary nor do we advocate for all the assertions made; however, we have worked hard to obtain as many free pdfs to provide educational resources. We have included texts suggested by or written by our elders or that have proved to be mobilizing. It is important for us to be able to provide not only the reading list but also the full texts. We understand that these are not the only readings and we are actively working on acquiring other readings to give to you. We are currently prohibited by costs and do not want to put the burden on our community; however, we are also compiling a list of readings that we feel are useful that you will have to pay to access them.
You will find the Reading List and pdfs to each reading down below.
You can also go directly to our coordinating Google Drive folder at the bottom of the page.
