Land Acknowledgement

As colonialism continues to be an ongoing process, we want to recognize that these statements are being written on the original homelands of the Miami, Bodéwadmiakiwen (Potawatomi), Peoria, and Kiikaapoi (Kickapoo). We also acknowledge the 12 recognized tribes of Michigan and all of those who were forgotten. We express gratitude for those who have lived and cared for this land for time immemorial. Further, we promise to put energies toward mitigating and taking accountability for the damage of these unceasing imperialist practices.
